Illegal wildlife trade threatens Mongolia’s biodiversity, endangers species, and fuels global trafficking networks. ZS Luujin has led a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening law enforcement capacity, securing borders, and disrupting trafficking routes.

Key Initiatives & Milestones:

  • 2015-2018: IWT CF/IWT-1 Project – Strengthened law enforcement to combat wildlife trafficking.
  • 2018-2021: IWT CF/IWT-2 Project – Enhanced border security and community engagement against illegal trade.
  • 2021-2024: IWT CF/IWT-3 Project – Supported Mongolia’s new Ecological Police with global standards.
  • 2020-2022: Foundation Segre Project – Introduced canine detection units to combat poaching and trafficking.


Impact & Investment:

  • £1.4 million total investment in law enforcement, community engagement, and border protection.
  • Strengthened anti-poaching measures, reducing illegal wildlife trade activities.
  • Developed a long-term enforcement strategy to ensure the sustainability of conservation efforts.
